Learn to know their approach to modular synthesis, their songwriting process, how they record, perform, and collaborate. See what motivates each artist to work with modular, their struggles, secrets and advice to fellow modular artists like you.
Making modular accessible
Eurorack has only been around since 1996, that’s still pretty new for a musical instrument. While it’s slowly getting popularity, mastering modular synthesis seems like a dark art.
If you’ve invested a lot of money into a modular setup you want to make sure you know how to use it. To turn these ideas you have in your head into actual patches. Not just bleeps, bloops and fart sounds. Not that there’s something wrong with fart sounds from time to time, but how cool would it be if you can turn your modular patches into actual, structured tracks that sound amazing!
At Modulogue we aim to connect artists with people like you, that want to level up their skills, to finally tame this giant spaghetti monster. Collaboration is key in this industry. We support each other. By sharing knowledge, opening up our stage for up-and-coming artists, and collaborating with industry professionals.

MASTERCLASSES
In this masterclass you’ll gain valuable insights into modular synthesizers from different artists active in the electronic music scene. Each workshop will take up to 60 minutes with small breaks in between. All artists are approachable and ready to answer your questions.

Quiten de Jongh a.k.a. Klankspoor is a true modular mastermind. He brings a massive case combined with an overwhelming amount of enthusiasm. Learn all about his journey as touring session drummer and his switch to modular.
You’ll learn everything about improvisation, what to prepare and what not to prepare, his setup and approach to modular rhythms.

Modulogue Collective
Hosted by the Modulogue crew itself, Tripodal (Melvin Rijlaarsdam), Kyoshi Kraag and Ola Moonk (Peter de Haan) will tell you everything about their innovative live setup. The struggles they’ve overcome on a technical and creative level. Communicating live and creating buildups and drops. Making sure everything is running smoothly and having a backup plan if things go south. Using analog mixers like musical instruments and hooking everything up efficiently without it being overwhelming.
Creative Sound Design
Surco
The master class led by SURCO will focus on how he designs a live hardware setup focused on improvised live performances. It will detail his equipment preparation for performing fully improvised live sets written live in the moment. The class will dive into selecting the right gear for performance, creating a signature sound, connections and control, signal processing, and live improvisational performance techniques.
